An introduction to Tharu community in Nepal

The Tharu community lives in terai region of Nepal from eastern to western part of the Nepal. They covers almost 22 districts of Nepal. They are very rich in traditional cultural which can attract millions of tourist to visit their villages to know and get entertained with their culture.

The main festivals of Tharu community of Nepal are maghi, fagu purnima, chaite dshian, ram nawami, jeetya, ananta,sawani sakrati, deepawali, chhat. They use different cultural dress during these festivals and share their friendship among people around them.

The holy festival is also known as the festivals of colors is celebrated by tharu community as well as other communities of Nepal. It is celebrated by people of Nepal, India and other countries of the Asia.

The Tharu community of Nepal are very rich in food items which they use in their daily live. Among them food called ghoghi is the most popular food item of this community. Apart from these, they use different vegetables and meat products as food item.

DEVCHULI temple ... the identity of tharu community

DEVCHULI temple is one of the main temple of tharu communitiy of Nepal which is located at Pragatinagar, Devchuli municipality, Nawalparasi district of Nepal. It is located at the top of northern mountain from terai region of Nawalparasi,Nepal. Thousands of people from Nepal and SAARC countries visit this place. This temple is located at the beautiful scenarios of hill and mountains, So, people visit this place for cultural aspects as well as for their adventure hiking to the mountains. Hiking for the temple area is really an adventure and loving to the nature. The scene from the area of devchuli temple to the terai region is amazing.
