Occupation of tharu community in Nepal

The tharu community lives in the terai region of Nepal which spreads over from eastern to western part of Nepal that covers 22 districts of Nepal. Agriculture and farming is the main occupation of tharus. They involves in this occupation for producing food products and vegetables to sustain their lives in the 21st century.
The terai reason of Nepal is also known as the bank for the production of  food and vegetable products.

Agriculture and farming is the backbone for tharu community people. Now a days, they are involved in other business to sustain their lives in this era. The rice is the main diet of Nepal. So, Nepelese people mainly involves in paddy planting and other cash crops like wheat, maize, sugar cane, vegetables and many more. Agriculture is popular in terai region as well as hilly area of Nepal. In hilly areas of Nepal like kathmandu valley, the terrace farming technique is used for farming.

A story on a little boy of tharu community.

Once upon time in a town of terai region of Nepal, there was a king called HARISH CHANDRA THARU of Tharu community. He was very rich in property and loves his people very much. One day he invited all the citizens of his town for RAJABHOG (palace party)and treats to his people by distributing rice, maize, wheat, chewra, vegetables and fruits. He delivered the graceful speech for the well fare of his citizens. Among them there was a poor old girl(unmarried) named MASUSAHI BHUDIA of Tharu community, she works in the palace. She was selected to work for rice making mill by The king Harish Chandra Tharu. She felt bad for this type of work because she was alone and no one for her support. So, she remembered the GOD for help. At that time the GOD gave her a dream that he will come in her dream. She was afraid about it. So, she went to neighbor home for shelter.                                    ...
